Whilst those who are serving the Lord in forms of ministry at Foundation Church, have chosen to do so whilst employed full-time elsewhere, we still strongly rely on the generosity of God's people to labour and invest with us in the advancement of the Gospel.
The church budget which is made available to the members does not show plans for remuneration in the primary roles of elder-led teaching, pastoral oversight, or church leadership, but the need for people to partner with us and minister unto the Lord in this way is essential as we advance the Kingdom. Each year an annual budget will be presented to the members for review, analysis, questions, and final approval. Our hope is that any funds that are given through the leading of the Spirit, and cheerful personal giving/sacrifice, will make it possible for many people to be gathered in, trained, equipped, and released back into the mission field of North Canterbury. Just as the sacrifice and generosity of the Father has made a way for us, after many generations to receive salvation, we believe that we are called to sow generously, to invest in heaven and not only only on the earth.
We pass onto you the words of the Lord Jesus recorded for us in Matthew 6:19-21
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
