Jesse has been following Christ for twelve years. His passion for teaching the Word of God, preaching the Gospel, and furthering the Kingdom of God, is the focus of his ministry. He loves God and his Family who are with him in this journey of Faith. His wife Felicity fully endorses his ministry and believes that now is the time to reach the Lost and make disciples of Jesus Christ. Whilst Jesse holds theological qualifications, he believes that the only qualifications that matter are the irrevocable call of God, a life of Godly character, and his mutual submission to his wife and co-elders, in submission to the Holy Spirit.
Jeremy - Founding Pastor
Key Areas of Responsibility: Treasurer, Operations Co-ordinator, Service Leader
Jeremy has been following Christ for over 20 Years. His knowledge of organizational structure, interpersonal connection, and zeal for the Lord are incredible assets to this ministry. Jeremy believes that as a shepherd, God has called him to go after the flock, to journey with them, and to see them built up in the truth of God’s Word. His wife Trina fully endorses his service to the Church and the Lord Jesus. Jeremy feels that the Church needs a revival in the seriousness that equates to a Godward life. His passion is to see the church following God’s Word and for that same word to be received by many in this nation.
How we started
Approximately two years before the Church was planted (in 2021) Jesse & Fliss were prayed out of their home church in Christchurch with the goal of pioneering a church plant in Rangiora. They struggled with the thought of planting a new church as they felt great ministries already existed in the area and opted instead to settle in one of the established local churches in the town.
After two years in a great local church, they felt a strong leading of the Lord to plant Foundation Church in Rangiora; Although unexpected, God confirmed through many avenues that this was his will and that Foundation Church should be planted for the Glory of God.
In March 2023 Jeremy reached out and expressed that he also felt the call to pioneer alongside Jesse in the planting of Foundation Church. Jeremy has served in many roles for over 20 years; including that of a an elder/overseer in the Anglican Church.
God used Jeremy to initiate the first Church service on April 2nd 2023 in Jesse & Fliss’s lounge. Since then he has gone on to become a co-founding elder of Foundation Church. Together Jesse and Jeremy prayed, fasted, and invested financially, and since then have seen many people come through the doors of the church who are seeking deeper connection with God, transparent leadership, and a fresh touch of the Spirit.
Although Jesse and Jeremy had not put themselves forwards as permanent ministers, the Lord led the church to endorse them as the Pastors of the Church and agreeing together, they were appointed to the task of leadership, anointed for service, and ordained into the ministry by the local church.
Through this ministry God is touching many lives. The door to door evangelism outreach is a key focus.
The Mission of the Church is that every one - reach one - one week at a time.
